joglo Senior Retro Guru May 20, 2022 #4 Well, 980 is possible too These set in polished was for sale a while ago, obviously labeled with 980 Just very rare! And unfortunatly DiaCompe has reused the "980" name for nowadays crap too. I'm searching since a while since if have seen this black 980 set mounted: https://www.mtb-news.de/forum/t/es-kommt-ein-fat-ter-aufbau.953080/post-17870693 Last edited: May 20, 2022

D d8mok Gold Trader GT Fan Feedback View May 20, 2022 #5 Ah cool. I’ll take a closer look at them shortly. In terms of rarity that’s true as none sold on eBay and I’ve no idea what they worth. It’s only one pair not a full bike set

There was recently an offer in US This nice store of vintage bike parts had a full set if I'm remembering right for something like 60 or 80USD. The link is still available, https://www.gringineer.com/dia-compe-980-black-cantilever-brake-set.html but i can't find the listing any longer.
