Ibis Mojo Ti

I’ve been hoarding WTB parts for a long time and i’ve had a single New Paradigm 32h front hub in pretty much new condition for over 10 years.

Recently i’ve been able to pick up a set of 32h hubs, the rear hub is unlaced with some storage marks but the front hub was used:

So i sold the front used one and was left with a set of pretty much as new hubs: IMG_3138.webp

I also found a grey WTB x Specialized team saddle in excellent condition (date stamp from 1992). I would prefer a black version, if anyone fancy’s a trade 😉

I love those hubs, I imagine they are quite rare, where they hard to find?

Yeah, i’ve seen them pop up every now and then over the years but i have always been looking for the good WTB bits.
There are also a couple of different versions of the New Paradigm hubs. These are the correct 1st gen with sticker decals.

Great choices. Looks like a classy, understated build which is what this frame deserves.
Thank you!

And for those who don’t know, Scot Nicol (founder of Ibis) worked as an apprentice for Charlie Cunningham, who later co-founded WTB, so even though it’s not exactly ‘catalog spec’ i think its not too far fetched to go this route.

Long time no updates!

Wheels: I’ve tracked down some nos WTB Powerbeam rims in the US. They are listed in the 1994 catalog and are a nice match with both the hubs, also keeps the WTB theme going.
So the question was where to have the wheels build, I chose the US and send the hubs out. Not sure when they will be done.

Brakes: needed brakepads, found brake pads. Also WTB, theyre used but looks like there is plenty of meat on them. Also the padholders have a nice metallic finish that i havent seen before.

Forks: took a long time to find a Judy XC with a long enough steerer and canti brace. The lowers are immaculate! Not sure if they are refinished or even nos.
I got the full SRP repro ti bolt kit to spruce things up a bit and then there are the springs and excellent condition lowers leftover from the FrankenJudy from for the Bontrager build. With the Risse cartridge i should be able to cobble together a very good looking Judy XC. The cartridge needs a rebuild though, plenty left to do.
