boy o boy, what a  frame.

I remember window shopping at arround 2006/2007 a LBS which offer a variarity of Serotta frames - and I was stupid not buying when they closed down the shop and had a huge sale - sometimes you just miss opportunities ...

Some additions have been made.

It was tempting to go full 11 speed Dura Ace 9000 which is my favourite groupset but I happened upon an Ultegra 6700 10 speed gruppo at quite the bargain asking price so I’ve gone 10 speed.

Ultegra 6600 was right for 2006 but just prefer the 6700 and that’s where we are.

Dura Ace 10 speed low ratio cassette from the bin.

Topline crankset because the frame’s classic lines are suited to it.

CNC superlight Planet X brakes are on. The rear brake cable tension adjuster is long gone as they are prone to fall out so some improvisation will be required.

The bar is a 150g Chinese effort which I’ve used on the Lynskey and I like it. Same with the stem.

Top cap as a reminder that a destroyed left elbow shouldn’t be a bar to me enjoying cycling.

Overall, I think it looks nice and muted which isn’t always what I do (see the mountain bikes I’ve thrown every Paul Components parts at as evidence).

A bit of cabling, chain and bar tape and this is pretty much finished.

✌🏼
