I really do.

Just got back from leeds festival (i know there,s still hours left but we'd had enough!) had a call from the dog sitter- they've both escaped. They had got them back safe and sound but it just makes you a bit nervous.

Also sick of drunken /drugged up idiots walking straight into me then looking all agro.

Someone's broken a pole in my tent. I bodged a repair but it leaked anyway.

The wife spilt a litre of lemonade in the bed at 2am (yes i was at a festival and in bed at 2am!) so we froze with just a towel instead of 13.5 togs of fogarty's finest.

Got into trouble taking pictures by my wife. Tried to capture the atmosphere of the event with a shot of the crowd at night. Used flash and a long exposure. She thought i was taking a pic of a fit girl in the crowd!

2 of my mates spent last night taking all sorts of drugs which was a bit of a shock.

Had our gas canisters taken by security (i know it's the rules but it takes the piss. ) you now camp for a weekend you can take food and cook it on a small open fire or barbeque but not a camping stove. Give me strength.

On the plus side my mates got there the day before me and got a great pitch with normal people around us. They took our tent so we didn't have to put it up.

Got to see bad religion and gaslight anthem. Been a fan of the former for 18 years and never seen them live so there was no chance i was going to miss them.

Anyway, ramble over.

Ha ha i need to be careful what i say on here don't i!

No it was some of rachel's friends.

You should try some of the local festi's

Much smaller, more chilled out, loads cheaper, minimal travelling & good music at some of them too ;)

I am planning on going to this one (17-19 sept): http://www.alchemyfestival.co.uk/Default.aspx

£68 for entry, camping & car parking. Heard very good things about last years which was the inaugural one at a different location.

This year guitar maestro Jon Gomm & Cleethorpes Rocks Competition winning samba band Sambalada are playing.

i-pod/sound system,wireless link

Move onto a boat.
Make friends with the people next to you that day.
Drink beer looking at the stars.
Magic.

I went to Leeds on the Friday, Gaslight Anthem were good but for me it was all about the Libs.

Had an awesome day although it did remind me why I dont do many UK fests any more, the temperature fluctuation was pretty extreme from sunny daytime to clear night sky. (Benicassim in spain has been my usual haunt for the past few years.)

The £80 day ticket was excellent value in my eyes just to see the Libertines play.

When Creamfields was at Speke, I used to have a room at the Marriott which was just over the fence.

Room service at 4am... yum.
