I really cant be **rsed to get a bike out....

I went out for a night-ride last night, on-road but jeez, how big are those pot-holes?!?

I wore shorts, which was a bad idea, but a badger ran out in from of me which was quite a nice sight. I don't think he wasn't too taken with my Ay-ups, I probably stuffed his night vision for a bit :(

Chilterns retro-ride this weekend...... :P

I need to see if I can fit a wooly hat under my Giro... ;)[/quote]

When its really cold I use a thin cotton thermal balaclava, a bit like the ones racing car drivers use ( brilliant ).

Thanks for the tip, Marmite King! I imagine that I'd get something like that from an outdoor shop...

I've found recently that I sit on the sofa planning an epic ride that will require warm clothing, Camelbak, maps, spare tubes, tools, food, etc - and then get put off by the prep involved and end up doing nothing!

So my new tactic is to just go out for a quick blast around the local woods, old railway, etc. Plan for no more than 45mins, but end up staying out much longer having fun! Works for me... :)

would wearing a anti-pollution-type mask not warm the air up sufficiently to prevent an asthma attack?

night riding has kept me busy this winter - it's been a revelation. really going to miss it as it gets lighter

Worked for me when I had to ride to work in the cold ... worse part was it was mostly down hill on the way so really cold morning did screw me

The other great thing about a anti-pollution mask is it will get you fit really quick !!!
