The owner, Stuart Wright leaked privileged information onto the site causing undue panic and a loss of confidence in the company I worked for. No apology was ever made and the company was very quickly folded up and packed away leaving my career in tatters.

And, if there was ever a site for BS over sense, AVforums is it.

Maybe its matured recently but I dont trust anything written on there as far as I can throw it. Having worked in design, manufacturing and sales of equipment and also being an owner, I take what this site says and anything else written in the Hifi press with a large pinch of salt.

If, say, a Shimano chain wears out 10 times quicker than a Taya chain, the facts are blindingly obvious. Whereas on AVforums if amplifier A is better than amplifier B, the people who bought amplifier B on the recommendation of What Crappy Hifi magazine will shout you down that their amp is better until you are sobbing in a corner.

Or ''this £175 Russ Andrews mains cable improves the sound of my CD player so much'' when, we, as a company proved that it was bunk.

Vociferous rant over... maybe.

I see not good that.

We have used it for tv problems and got answers to help us and use the classifieds to buy a and sell stuff.

But don't go on the bits with debates etc.

I've just re-read all the old posts and realized I should have been much more angry than I was at the time.

I dont think I should have read my old redundancy letters I found today...

Sorry not nice mate :( :(

sounds like it got crappy on there for you

umm..

The SuperKord Signature-SD II™ is the most advanced mains cable we have developed, in our opinion capable of making a profound improvement to the performance of your system.

Twelve hundred and fifty quid and the best you can do is "in our opinion" it's a bit weak.

Sounds like a charming and un opinioned place LGF, not. :(
