...with Retrobike. Having been told of this website on Descent World's forums I thought I would have a gander and see what the score was. Oh my god, it's nice, soft, warm and fluffy here isn't it!
I've been late for work nearly every day this week thus far cos I'm up half the night looking at people's bikes and equipment from the bygone years.
The work people put into the Fat Chances are amazing and it brings all the memories flooding back of Dave Hemming and , oh god the name escapes me at the moment, the guy who used to race on the shock-a-billy and the Yeti in wild colours here in the UK. (I'm now reminded it was Darren Tapp - where is he now I wonder?!)
And then there's the Intense M1's and oh my god the restored Yeti's and Pace bikes.
Being very much a retro guy myself and having a plethora of bits and bobs from the bygone era, Ringle, Pauls, WTB, Royce, Middleburn, Spooky, Brooklyn, all sorts, I feel completely right at home on here.
Have decided to build up a retro bike now with my bits and pieces - just getting my new hardtails out of the way and then I'll have a look at what I fancy doing, perhaps a Yeti, Pace or a Spooky, dunno yet.
I *heart* this website, it rocks.
