I Find It Hard To Understand This. Police Pepper Spraying.

I always find it hard to swallow apologies from someone who has been so persistent in their direction.

Pepper spray is not something that should be used lightly.

Freedom of assembly and freedom to protest is a beacon of democracy.

Anyone stifling that or arguing against it is on the wrong side of history, and on the side of all the regimes we are seeing toppled as the days go by.

I have been pepper sprayed I do know what it feels like, its not a nice feeling its like being punched in the face then someone rubbing jalapenos in your face...then the moment you rub your eyes you make it a thousand times worse. Thats one of the reasons why if someone waved a can at me and asked me to move...i'd move.

Freedom of speech is also a beacon of democracy or would you rather everyone agrees with you highlands?

How many pages of bullshit do you need to spout to assert your freedom of speech? I happen to disagree with most of the crap you have written. I have not argued against your right to write it.

I happen to disagree with most of the stuff other people have written, thats the to and thro of discussion is it not? i've learnt some interesting things but if you just want to only take away negativity from it all then all i can say is sorry...

As GoldenEraMTB has already pointed out, you need to keep responses civil and avoid personal insults, otherwise the thread will be locked.

Which Evelyn Beatrice Hall paraphrased as - "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

Not a lot of either on here...

Ahem

If you feel you need to apologise then you really shouldn't have said anything in the first place because you obviously don't have the courage of your convictions - unlike the people protesting at something they see as, at best, unfair and at worst, obscene and undemocratic...

I think that is a good post.

1Duck is a lively catch.

All power to you 1Duck, because you are thinking hard and working out what you think. Takes a bit of courage to think freely and speak likewise.

Respect.
