Huret Rod Shifter - group and date

Hello,

I just bought a jumble of old huret stuff, some first generation allvit derailleurs and shifters etc.
Among them was also an old huret rod-operated front derailleur - like the one in the picture only not such good condition.
Quite a cool thing - I like the fore-aft operation of the lever.

Does anyone know which rear derailleurs this would have been matched with? And roughly which dates it would have been used? I think the latest
bikes with rod shifters I've seen were mid-late 1950s, but have not been able to work out when the huret ones were introduced.

Probably the 'Tour de France' model which was really their only model in those days.

As used by Louison Bobet and many others although there was also a version with a chain tensioning facility via a secondary small lever alongside the main gear shift lever on the down tube.

Looking at Velobase, it's about time someone added the Huret rod shifter to the list.

I had one in 1950, also Huret steel 3 pin chainset with alloy inner ring, 47 x 50. Used a Cyclo 5 speed block 13 to 21 with Benelux rear.
