HS22's may have some up for grabs

Hi guys, don't like to post things in the FS forum unless I actually have them.

I've never owned or used these, and not sure I want to either. I have just won a bike on ebay that has some fitted, so i thought i would see what these baby's are worth.

Can anyone tell me? They are black by the looks of it.

£30-35 I would guess.

HS33's regularly go for £40 on here and eBay and there's not a huge amount of difference.

Someone else may have a better valuation but I keep a fairly close eye on them cos I run HS22's on my Pace and have picked up a couple of sets of HS33 for around the £40 mark....if they are extra minty you might get a bit more....brilliant brakes though, nothing nice to look at but they WILL piss over any cantis you've ever used.

I'd fully agree with that statement. At least as good a disc brakes IMO apart from the usual issues of braking on the rim - loses some power in wet/mud (although not as much drop of power as cantis/Vs) and a sod if your wheel isn't true (arguably more sensitive than cantis/Vs).

Try them - you might like them!

Keen eye, not quite so keenbidding finger...think i failed for just under what it went for!

I seem to buy a lot of bits from caterham area... no idea why just seems to be an area of interesting bits. Ive had a Rocky mountain instinct frame, and recently a marin from down that way.

Missed out on both that and the Ibis szazbo in the US...damnit i want an XC FS frame

Good luck getting the shock fettled.

thanks all for your comments, I may go fishing to see how cheap I can get the brakes I do want before deciding what to do. The bike is for my other half and I don't really want her going over the bars or crushing the rims, but we'll see.
