Hey.

I've got a bike frame that had a paper sticker stuck to it - the kind of thing that is like normal printer paper with a sticky back. Is there a way of removing it without damaging the paint / varnish on the frame? I was thinking perhaps WD40, but loathe to try without knowing...

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks! :D

Back from the garage!

White spirit applied, the sticker went kind of see-though and then just rubbed away!

Thanks for the help!

Lighter fuel...never lets you down, can't damage anything and is dead cheap......
..........but seeing as how you've already achieved success this info is for next time :)

I wouldn't call Lighter Fluid cheap compared to other things. What is it, about £2-3 for 125ml? That's £16-24 per litre for what is basically highly refined petrol. May as well have a some petrol handy, or even better diesel is an excellent degreaser and won't catch fire easily and at a little over a £1 per litre a bargain too, same sort of price as white spirit.
