how strong are original crossmax?

ok, i have a chance at some original crossmax, achingly cool and floaty light

but, i'm pretty fat (just under 14st) and completely talentless... this lack of talent is probably offset by the fact i'm a total wuss when it comes to scary stuff. i also dont ride that often. - are they likely to take the strain?

They'll be fine. Check the rims aren't cracked from the eyelets, a common failing.

one is a rerim and the other has just been overhauled by a good LBS

also check the freehub, if used a lot in adverse conditions they can get pretty gunked up & slip. still the same on the modern crossmax.

Agree with JV - you'll be fine. Thrown mine down the Peaks, local 4X track etc and no problems. I'm 14 1/2 stone although have been heavier when riding those wheels.
