how small is ”to small” for a frame?

Hm... so, the main drawback will be the fragility of a seatpost??

i'm 6ft1 so ride 19 inch frames; the only 2 times i broke seatpost was on my 17 in bike - a clue is if the min mark on the post is visible. :?

also a smaller frame makes you lean over more as well as put more weight on wrists - i cannot ride that bike anymore as it kills my back and wrists (rigid fork does not help) :twisted:

the horizontal top tube measurement is more significant btw.

I have a 32" inside leg and I am 6`1" I find a 17.5" Marin is the smallest I can ride but only one with a 23" Top tube.
Rocky Mountain frames of 18 /19" are great too
I think that 18 " is what you should aim for

160cm for me, and many of frames are tooooooooooo big for me ! :mrgreen:
