How old is this GT ?

Found it on a compost heap !!! Fell in love with the frame so i'm going to restore it just wonder what year it is.Its a Pantera and its got an STX Group and Rock shock INDY forks and the serial number if it means anything is S7HA2340. Thanks Mike.

I had a 1997 backwoods for years (lower model of above) and loved it, that's a good find and doesnt look like it needs much, except wheels and tyres etc!
