How fast is your broadband?

BT rang up on one of their daily 'please come back' calls.

I interrupted the nice Irish lady by telling her that we might consider going back if the internet was a wee bit faster as nobody bothered to include our village when upgrading exchanges and so on.

I tested the line today and got:

919kilo bits per second (Kbps)

when she tested it she got an amazing 1500 Kbps - amazing as no matter what provider we've had its never gone above 1000.
