How do you choose your music?

Like this thread, I used to DJ until fairly recently and i spent most of my time on music forums, Podcasts, and online music stores such as Juno or HTFR, Beatport etc, all in the attempt to find stuff i liked (always vinyl may i add). Nowdays my music is found by my 3, almost 4yr old son! He's loves watching the crash compilations on youtube. My last 2 albums have come directly from backing tracks from these vids :shock: . Odd but it works for me! Hip Hop, Rock, House, Soul whatever! I'z love it all, you could say non genre specific

my 24 yr old son points me in the direction of good music
i pointed him in the right direction 10/12 years ago when we both got in around 3.45 in the afternoon and would play whatever we liked at loud volumes before wifey and younger daughter came home ,a real eclectic mix
deftones ,slipknot ,korn,faithless,beastie boys,carl cox,prodigy ,etc

still listen to a lot of this stuff ,but download the free podcasts from i-tunes
on a regular basis ,mostly trance stuff but old skool rave stuff too
have a rake about in there ,there's loads of stuff

Podcasts are a great source of free awesome music! Good to hear the Beasties are on someones list as well! My misses hates them which only makes me turn it up louder!
