HOPE Ti BBs Query

Bought a couple of Ti BBs from different sellers and neither came with any form of locking rings - should they have done?? ANyone got a snap of one fitted??

Depends on length. I had a Hope Ti 127mm for the pace with the rs2 cranks and it came with lockrings. The 110 i got for the rs7's had none.

So they stay in place without lockrings by design - the LBS mechanic seemed dubious...

Only the adjustable bb's need a lockring as a fair amount of the threads are protruding the rotation of the cranks with a stiff bearing could work em out the non drive side as there is no shoulder on the drive side to prevent the cup from threading further in.
I have seen this happen and a chainring grind into the chainstay and destroy a frame!

The cups should lock against the internal sleeve of the BB.

Only 117 length and above include lockrings, narrower one's do not.

Shimano BB do not use lockrings

Got one on my Parkpre Pro Image, no lock rings. Needs a healthy dose of Locktite to keep it in place.

Incidently I have a 110mm hope ti and now need approx 118mm so if anyone fancies a swap

Don't mind just swapping axles.
