Meh. Not into that one.

CNC's is nice and that paint is really really cool. I bet he'd go down to the former price. It is BIN or offer, after all.

Have you ever ridden one?
I would only want the frame, but I'm not a buyer right now...so guess I'm just talking.

Closest I have got was the Series 90 PDG a friend had bitd. Nice bike, and I got to put it through its paces a couple times.

Thank you chaps....another steel frame would be nice but I am supposed to be being sensible

 retrobike and sensibilities?
I watch this 2400 every time it comes up, in hopes that he will substantially lower his asking price, and my paypal is flush.

Oh dear....oh dear oh dear oh dear. When will I ever be sensible. I will sell most of the components and build up over time to my taste, and when funds allow. Here's hoping it gets here in fine fettle.

Nice! I have a feeling you'll love it, so long as you don't mind reselling it at a loss, if you paid too much. I won't ask
Congrats :D

That is close, but the 2400 is more refined and lighter.

Well it has arrived..alas the seller could have packed it better.
5 chips to the seat-tube otherwise the frame would have been close to NOS condition. Damn!

That's (partial) refund or negative feedback time. People are so careless.

Yeh...the box was too small and everything was too cramped....I'm not really bothered about the money, I just want it mint again :(
A bit of touch-up and I'll forget it's there I guess.

Don't think the transaction was done via ebay.

Damn, Harry, sorry to see that. I should've mentioned, the couple I had, paint was an issue; it would chip off rather easily, though that's just negligence, right there.

You should definitely let him know; maybe he'll be more careful next time, and if he is nice, will kick you back a few bucks for touch-up paint.

How I send my frames:

I usually use the shrink wrap over the pipe insulating tubes, (plastic wrap sticks only to itself), but my store had run out, so usps priority mail did the trick, in this case. Then I secure it within the box, with any additional parts, boxed separately, and also secured within the box. Not to mention, braces between the dropouts.

Hey GE...yeh, the seller is fine, he looked after me with the duty etc and has offered to pay for the paint. Even if it was through Ebay I wouldn't leave neg feedback as overall he has been a good egg...just wished he had taken a little more care with the frame.
Anyway, thanks for the heads-up...this will be a slow burner build as I am skint, but looking forward to riding it

I'm glad; good to know. I'm slow to leave negative feedback, as well. Look forward to seeing it build, and please, be sure to tell me your impression.

cheers
