Hi from newbie

Just like to say hello, I can't see any obvious introduction section on the forum?

I own a Yeti Ultimate which I purchased a thousand years ago and I have not before time, decided to strip it down and re-build. In the meantime, not wanting to be without a bike during the re-build, I have just purchased a Klein Mantra Comp from Pinkbike, which I am now trying to familiarise myself with after spending years in the Yeti saddle. The Yeti is fitted with amongst other things, Amp forks and I'm hoping someone on this forum can offer advice on their suitability to strip down and re-build?

I assume spare Amp fork parts are still available? If not, I may have to either machine the odd bush or two, or maybe search a catalogue such as Oilite to hopefully find a suitable replacement?

Anyway, I'm sure there will be enough knowledge on this forum to answer any questions that will undoubtedly arise during my attempt at resurrecting the Yeti :D

Welcome, sounds like a fantastic project, please start a build thread & get some pics up.

Hi there , and welcome to the forum .
You have but 2 bikes ? That will change !
I tried to resist for a long time , but now I've seen the light and have a spare room full .
You think it won't happen to you ? I thought that too !
Better make some space in the house buddy

Some AMP spares are still available from Brion at AMP, but I know that they have run out of some bits now (they went out of production quite a few years ago now)

Save yourself. I speak from experience. Before it's too late.

Too late.

welcome to the forums!

Once you have one, you want two, once you have two you want three, otherwise known as the famous x = n + 1 formula!

PM me... I have Brion (at AMPs) email addy... he can supply the bits you need direct from the good old U S of A!

Are you married ? Might want to look into a good divorce lawyer !
Also you need a mate who will accept strange shaped packages arriving from here, there, pretty much anywhere, as this is a disease that there is no cure for !

Oh and welcome ! :D
