hi all, trying to recall the age of my saracen blitz

hi all. great forum. came across it when googling my bike trying to find the age of it. i have had it from new. i remember how much i paid for it (around £1000) but cannot recall when i got it

I use to ride it with Gemini mountain bike club in bexley many many years ago. I last used the bike about 3 and a half years ago. 2 years ago i got into motorbikes.

im getting older and fatter and just today had this old bike serviced for the tune of £80, more than i hoped. new cassette, chain, rear tyre. apart from that the shop said all else is fine still.


so could anyone shed some light on its age as i forgot.

Based on the forks I'd say 1999.

also as you can see there is corrosion on the aluminium frame, is that something to worry about
