Help?

Wonder if anyone can help. I'm trying to remove an old crank off an old bianchi. The before pic is pictured at the bottom below. Only obvious move is to remove the nut.

Once nut is removed, can see what the inside looks lik! and that's the other picture. I think next step would be to push the bolt through to release the crank arm. But it doesnt want to budge.

Anyone seen this type before? Don't want to try and solve this with a hammer....but not sure what my next step should be?

Appreciate any help guys.

Use a brass punch and a few sharp taps with the hammer should drive the cotter-pin out, being careful not to damage the threads or bend the cotter-pin if you want to re-use them.
 
I always use a small vice. Find a nut with a hole slightly bigger than the non threaded end of the cotter and thicker than the bit of cotter thats sticking out. Wind the vice and press out the cotter, never damages the cotter and always works!
