Help with 1980 team Raleigh

I think it was closed early 80's off the top of my head so yes I agree it doesn't tally as 84 so should be 74. The design is as per the 1983 team replica from what I can see so it is maybe a copy but I cannot corroborate this beyond the stamp details either way.

Third digit is zero so that's 1980 :). Raleigh nicked the W from Carlton when Worksop closed 1981 and frames built in Nottingham carried the W moniker.

Midlife, you are correct so apologies Newbie, I am tired and appeared to skip the third triple 0. A 1980 would possibly correspond to a Raleigh Team Professional but without a photo of the whole frame it is hard to tell.

Does this link look like the full bike? if so then yes I would say it appears to be right. After that give Raleigh a call and interrogate their records for exacting information.

That's the one.
Braced on shifters
Clipped on top tube cable
Raised bottle cage fixings
Same seat stays
Can't see the BB cable routing but that's close enough.

Does it have 3 holes for a head badge? If so then yes it is.

A refiniushed Carlton Pro would have an undrilled head badge foir a decal.

Nice example and looks my size :)
