i own a Jamis explorer xr but unfortunately it is getting tiered and the chain jumps off the chain rings and the suspension kinda works. The bike has a set of Forkwar Betor europa suspension and shimano FC-MC39 crank set that only uses a shimano IG chain. Does any one any suggestion/advise about how i can service the suspension and any ideas where a can get new/used chain rings. I want to keep the authenticity of the bike if i can. Thank you for your time

If its any help I've running an XT m737 chainset that has 'IG only rings' but I'm having no issues running a SRAM PC850 8 speed chain.
If you are replacing your rings anyway you could either post in the wanted section to see if anyone has some suitable rings, I'm sure someone will, or middleburn do replacement rings for just about any chainset.
I would probably change your cassette at the same time and your gears should be running sweet again..
Not too sure about your suspension though, I'm not familiar with your frame.

I haven't seen this forks in while, this forks are quite rare, Maintance can be challenging as they were only sold in spain. I suggest cleaning out the outers out - They were always a dirt traps!, and maybe rerplacing the coil with another of a similar size fork, One little tricky is to change the oil to a 10 weight oil, instead of this standard 20 weight oils. This creates a more soft feel
Betor now make Motorbike suspension, for Apprillia and many, and are based mainly in Spain, although you see many Motorbikes in the UK with their forks.
Is your bike a spanish import?, I know Jamis had a limited import to Spain? I have never heard of that forks exterior of Spain?

I disagree with Juan Carlos. I was into very the MTB racing in after communist Poland in the 90's. We a thriving scene had and many americans came here with their "Cross Country" mountain bikes such as your James. The Explorer XR won many races and I even once saw famous Polish Freeride star Agnieszka Smithski dropoff a T-72 tank on one.
As I'm sure you know, the Explorer was often sold with rigid forks in the western world. Forkwar was an East German industrial conglomerate who made many items from weaponry to household electrical goods to bicycle componentry. Therefore I suspect that your bike is in fact an import from the old Eastern European racing scene. It has probably had a long and powerful career.
