Help please - Could anyone identify my Carlton frame ?

Mike

isn't it interesting that back in the day Carlton went to the trouble of chroming headlugs and painting contrasting paint bands on head and down tubes on relatively cheap frames? I have to say I took a chance buying my frame (from eBay) that it was 531 based upon the apparent age and the chromed lugs. Never mind, its still worth building up and I'm of an age where the name 'Carlton' has nostalgic value from my youth. :)

Yes, Carlton loved their chrome. I would love to get hold of a Criterium from the late 60s early 70s with full chrome forks and head lugs...
