Help, my back end is stuck! (GT LTS)

Haha    thanks Gazbally. Now you've explained it with the pic there, I can see what you mean!

I feel a bit dumb now  ... Will attack it with a socket and rubber mallet later :)

Cones out??? Yes, now get her built and let's have a look at it lol

Nope :(

They won't bloody budge at all. Stuck a socket on the end like you suggested and 'persuaded' it with a rubber mallet but they won't shift.... Grrrrrr...

I've put it away for now before I lose my temper!

Don't be scared to hit it hard bud, I used a hammer, then rubber when I got them moving, remember 1' of weld will lift 1 tonne, your not going to damage the hardware, unless you miss and hit frame of course lol...keep at it they will budge, just rusted up...

I'm going to give it a good battering on Saturday I think :)

it does take a bit of ..ffs moment to get the things out, but i understnd the ooo not to hard thinking....as said..use the force luke

Update:

Back end now removed thanks to a long socket and a proper hammer :) - It came out pretty easily in the end.

Gave the front triangle a once-over with some sugar soap and 0000 wire wool. Cleaned it up with white spirit to remove any gunge and applied the new decals. A good job, even if I do say so myself :)

It'll have a proper polish once the frame is assembled, and before the components go on.

I've got a thread somewhere which follows the progress of my build, if anyone is interested. It'll be a few months before it's complete thanks to my lack of funds at the moment but I can't wait to get it done :)

Thanks for all the help. Much appreciated!
