It's a 96 if the decals are original.

I always thought the gusseting depended on the size, the bigger sizes had it under the TT, the smaller under the DT..but thats just what i thought, not any scienctific info.

I have a set of Marzocchi XC700's fitted to my 94 Zaskar, which I got new when I replaced the Shocktech carbon forks I had originally fitted.

The XC700's work really well with the Zaskar, I have always been happy with the way it rides, and adding a few more exotic frames to my stable in the last few years has given me a great comparison after all these years, and I am still more than happy.

I did get a bit carried away on a rocky downhill a little while back, and blew the seals on one fork leg, but given it had not been serviced since the late 1990's, I'll forgive it that one problem. :mrgreen:

No, this is a 96 onwards as the gusset is under downtube. The older ones had under toptube.
Defo 96 decals (tho ignore catalogue as it shows older frame style !). It'll have a single bolt mech hanger.

Not sure if they made them in batches and stockpiled them but its seems quite random sometimes what decals
went on. Mine is August 93 with 94 decals on.

On the pre-96 frames, the 20" frames have a gusset under the top tube and one under the downtube, which I think is what MADJEZ is thinking of.

..er no. As per photos above pre 96 has a gusset under top top, 20" also had
one on top of the downtube. Post 96 one gusset under downtube.

..how many time can we get the word 'gusset' in one post.

Many apologies, just checked a few and you are entirely right.
I'm going senile ! I've seen an ally GT with 2 gussets opposite each other but now don't know on what.
Could maybe be a monster 22" 7005 frame or something (with the top tube that slopes down to the front :facepalm: ).
