Help me identify my fake Merlin frame.

Retro Newbie
So I bought this last week and just this morning confirmed with Spectrum/Merlin bicycles that this is not a Merlin bike frame Tom Kellogg states it is a Chrome plated steel bike much to my chagrin, so perhaps some of you may know what this Frame is ?,size 59 cm,very lightweight the group set that was on it was a mix of Dura-Ace and ultegra from the 90s with a set of mavic helium rims and Cinelli cockpit, groupset alone is worth more than what I paid for it so I'm not losing any cash but maybe I could use your help to determine whether to trash it or build it?
I could only post one picture due to the resolution I took them with but when I return next week I will post more, there is a single lug on the seat tube and there is internal cable routing on the left side for the rear brake, unfortunately I do have the picture of it but the website will not let me post it
Serial # al90056837
Frame also came with a lightweight aluminum Sakai Fork

Yep that's obviously steel, no idea who made it and the welds look mediocre but if it fits and rides ok then looks like a good project
