Problem is once you've got something like that done its hard not to 'kiddies gloves' it....
Fat colours like any other should'nt be a problem to mix but from what Ive seen of Fats and Kleins all the colours seem to vary anyway..

Unfortunately and against my original intent Im afraid this bike is destined to be carefully stored in sight and appreciated from afar more than from on top of. Maybe a good baby diaper rub down will be the most action it sees since I picked up an RTS-Team frame being built to ride hard with nice but "used" parts of various vintage. Between the RTS, Fuel EX9 and the road bike, It may be best to keep all the NOS parts on a cherry painted Fat in the best condition possible meaning not ridden much. Heh until I decide it wants to be ridden that is.

Hard to come to grips with all those NOS M900 parts being worn willy nilly.

dont see that many of the chameleon colour schemes.
plenty of aqua fades about, dont get me wrong i love this paint scheme but the chameleon is just as nice.
so i would have to say keep it stock chameleon.

I agree, and have voted as such. I own a chameleon wicked with a few paint issues, but I wouldn't change it.

you dont have close up pics of your current colour scheme (which happens to be 1 of my faves, that bright green metallic in sunlight is gorgeous ;)
personally i'd keep it stock as:
1, its a cool colour
2 the only colour I see reproduced with any success is team violet, which again isnt an insult, as again its 1 of my fave colours. violet paint varies so much b.t.w as it was always mixed by eye, same for grellow. I can tell a respray a mile off & personally that detracts for me. I'd leave it as stock ;)

I voted for Chameleon Metallica.
keep it as it is, love that colour.
Although i have an Aquafade myself which is a nice colour,..and just adore Grellow,..i would stay with the original colour, that is soooooo nice,..

From what I gather, Fat paints were notorious for chipping and decals notorious for cracking and wearing through.

Of what I understand and in my experience that applies to early 90s FATs. No idea about earlier ones (but overall quality was better) and my Serotta Yo has still nicer, brighter paint than all new bikes at my lbs.

Seems like several are saying don't respray unless absolutely necessary but it's your bike, you know the blemishes and want to go ahead so why not? And if it can be proper Fat colour matched then even better!

I said Team Lavender before but if (and it's a big if) it can be done in Grellow that would be my choice, not the Team Grellow with blue just Grellow on it's own (like John's).

Whatever it is, be sure to display photos as it happens
