Ah... the cranks were the last thing to come off...so not rideable...there's a lesson in that!.....

If you can ride it with the bolts out, they usually loosen. Or carefully with a 3 or 4 leg puller.

Next is looking at the provenance..the frame number is 4744859..

There seems other markings on the BB

You can also see some of the original paint, a metallic.red...does this help id? I do quite like it , so may go with this as a s/s build..

Can we see sharp pics of fork crown, all lugs, seat clamp, drop outs and fork ends please? You may never identify it though.

Plainness of the head lugs makes me shy away from Carlton too, Falcon, maybe Viking but not sure they did wrap over stays? Definitely no later than late 70's though. Letters and numbers on BB could be start of a post code and landline number.
