Realistic selling price for these 2 Orange 🍊 bikes

I have two Orange mountain bikes which I have owned from brand new:

1) Orange C16-r Blue, mix of LX (chainset, shifters, v brakes, hubs) and XTR (front and rear mechs). Beautiful condition, a few little marks here and there. Crank brothers / Thomson components. Owned from new (1997)

2) Orange MsIsle - Fizzy Orange, Hope upgrade. Again, immaculate condition, hope DH4, Pro levers, hope pro hubs, shimano deore 9 speed. Owned since new (2000).

Realistically how much am I going to be able to get for each of these? Looking for peoples views / opinions.

Cheers
Chris

Very nice! Your best bet with the C16 would be to swap the Thomson and XTR bits for less glamorous kit then sell them separately as they'll probably make as much as the rest of the bike! If it really is as clean as it looks though you might get a bite at around £250 but C16's don't tend to go high.

The Mslsle should go higher, maybe £400+ (providing the condition is right) but you could be waiting a while and as with most bikes you'd probably make more splitting it and selling as parts.

Thanks for the reply, appreciate the info.

I do have the original Deore LX mechs I could put on and a ritchey seat post.

Yeah the MsIsle is properly mint, not a mark on the frame at all. Nice clean wheels/hubs, brakes are insanely powerful.

My go-to for years on the South Downs was a C16R - I had ti bikes. AMPs etc in the workshop but the C16R just rode wonderfully - had the same feel as my current COTICS. There's a clear design line running from a certain garage in Santa Cruz, to Halifax to Sheffield.

It does ride very well. It was my 16th Birthday Present from my parents, frame and fork. And I built it up as and when I got some money. I think I’d struggle to part with it but I would like to by a gravel bike and need to make some room if I do. I have 5 bikes currently 😬😬
