Help identifying 1940s bike

Hi folks.. just been gifted this lovely lightweight tourer believed to be late 40s...96yr gent had it from new. dunlop stainless l/w rims 26 x1 1/4... benelux tourist rear mech.. not original seat or bars...forks were originally chrome but have been painted...paint is original with box lining ..possibly Jack Taylor?, but the only frame number I can find is AW128 on the rear dropout and 22 on the fork tube. any help would be greatly appreciated... hoping to restore it

Looked at Arthur Waller but very little information regarding conventional frames.. Only the Kingsbury ..etc.. Hopefully someone will recognise it one day !
