HELP! - Hope floating rear brake for GT lobo

The wee special end nut for the XL skewer is still available from Hope for about a fiver They still do the skewer as its usually for tandems[£18 iif i remember correctly]

The spacer is hard to find though,i got one off Ricks bikehut place and just about tore his hand off That said mine is a tight fit for the bulb i want to put it on but tbh i can see that you couldrun it without :?

Axle-Easily cut down,they do or rather did do a short version but i gather most just hacksawed a bit off the end

Frame bolt- Dream on No youre ok here as i have a spare and am willing to part with it.

I ran one for years where the frame bolt was a loose fit into the caliper,much like that that you suggested.I found that once it was done up tight it was not going to move again.

You don't find many real GT ones

Let alone NOS GT calipers.

IIRC I have the rectangular Lobo torque arm in my Hope Spares Box. The adjustable heim joint one in the pic is off a Straight 8 and the tapered clamp is off a LTS.

This is super geek and boring but I found posts like this handy while trying to figure stuff out, it beats looking at 100's google images

Bottom is GT Lobo original, the next two are Big Un and Bulb for Hope normal hub mount caliper and long one is original Big Un no caliper.

I already have the rear brake, which is the GT one. , just need a rear wheel so it will fit.

This is a very useful thread even a decade on!! If anyones still out there, I have one of these on an Ibis Mojo that I'm trying to convert back to v-brake. The Hope Bulb that has been used has obviously been adapted to be narrower to fit the floating brake calliper. Does anyone know if it's possible to convert it back to full width? and where I might get the parts?
