I have that exact Mech and band so the mech isn't the problem its the band which is round for one and diameter wise wont fit around the square tube. So either needle in a hay stack find a band off an original RC100 or get one made..........so does anyone know where I can get one made???

You'll need to make the round band square, that's what pace did.

The bands were available in different sizes though. Making it square only works if its long enough to start with.

Sjs I think it was still sell band on mechs. I was after one of the long bands for my lotus and was considering £15 on a mech as an option. However one turned up following a wanted ad on here.

Soz pete can translate the bottom bracket part into ABC language for me no expert in all this technical stuff!!!!

Sorry about that. The pace BB bearing has a metric outer diameter, but it had to use an imperial inner diameter to fit the Bullseye cranks which have a 1" (or 22.2m) axle. This is the big problem as metric OD, imperial ID bearings are impossibly hard to find.

Now, Desperado (google them) and Gil_m (pm him on here) make some shims that increase the Bullseye axle to 24mm, so this means you would be searching for a metric ID and OD which is far more realistic a find.

Or, as others have suggested, have .2mm shaved off the axle

PM me if you need anymore info, happy to help another RC100 owner!

Just had a search for 24x39x9 bearings and they seem to be like hens teeth so maybe that's not the best option...
