Help fitting downtiube shifters

I have some dura ace downtube friction shifters and for some reason they don't fit on the frame bosses.
The boss being square and the dura ace has a round aperture?
excuse my incompetence is there a conversion washer or something as I thought all down shifters were the same I have a campag set on my other bike and they have a square aperture which fits on the boss
any advice would be gratefully received

Should be a round washer the "converts" the hole to square. Exploded vieW here, is 600/Ultegra, but shouyld be very close - these are indexed, so drop the index washers from the view to get a better idea

cant post pics as bike elsewhere but that exploding diagram great. Does anybody know where I can get my hands on a washer with a square aperture?
