Hello! My name is Filipe, im from Lisbon, Portugal and I'm proud owner of a 1997 GT Zaskar. I bought the frame first, fitted a MAG 21 and sorted things out for a few months with alivio / STX-RC.
I started racing and an upgrade was needed, some nice XT levers, shifters and brakes, added a JUDY XC and because of the poorer perfomance bought along some White Brothers coils. From 2000 til 2007 i had no time to ride so i got fat and kinda lost in all development of bike parts and models.
Last couple of years got me riding again, so i bought some XTR shifts and levers, rear deraileur and a newers SPD from crank brothers.
My fork is completely destroyed on one of the sides, non working cartdrige with the obvious consequences to the leg.
Im not sure on how to upgrade it, retro stuff or newer stuff. Course retro would be better in terms of money and stuff i already have. My riding is mostly road / city / and some countryside. Mainly maintenance and fun , cause most of my friends have no time at all to ride along. :/

Handlebar Onyx (got it free from a friend)
Headset Icon (same thing)
Seatpost (ugly Acor)
