Hello, newbie here I'm afraid, short time lurker, even shorter time poster! Stumbled over from Singletrackworld.
Anyways, I've come into possession of a rather battered Muddy Fox Mega Ranger and I'm trying to decide whether it is worthwhile sorting it out into a bit of a retro project. Hopefully all it really needs is a new saddle, seatpost bolt, tyres, a lot of elbow grease and a respray. The former I'm okay with, but I'm not sure if it's worth getting it resprayed.
Does anyone know anything about these bikes? I don't know it's age, but I'd guess late ninieties, it's got an early Acera rear mech, Shimano gripshift 7spd gears and cantilever brakes. The current paintjob is predominantly blue with splashes of red and black.
I've tried googling and a couple of other search engines but without much joy, so thought I'd try the font of retro MTB knowldege here!
