The advert seems a little off kilter.

Size looks likely to be 19", judging if that is a 130mm Headtube - although the seller does document how he has managed to come up with the 17" measurement.

The year is by admission well out. I'll stand corrected from the experts, but front & rear mech cable routing on the Downtube is presumably 1996 or earlier. Not sure when bullet dropouts were introduced.

Those decals and Headtube badge though... Mmm well.

Yeah I'd go with 19" and with that cable routing it's a 1996.

why put litespeed decals on a kona ? seems just wrong.

Yes, it is a 1996 size 19. They did go back to the Kona shape mid way through 96, so you will see some like this, although they are rare.

From the dimensions you might think it was a 93, but 93 Hei Heis didn't have the triangle cut into the dropout, so I assume he means 22.5" for the c-c top tube.

I appear to at last be getting the hang of identifying these Kona frames!

I'm sure it won't surprise you to hear me say that I asked for the serial number. The reply was B19997, which is the highest B prefix sequential number that I am aware of.
