I just think that it might be prudent/fair to wait the three days before complaining. That is all.

I havn't complained anywhere. Certainly not to te company nor in this thread.

Thanks for the info on Wiggle, I never knew they did the same. However the one big difference for me is that everything I have ordered from them has been in stock, and pretty much turned up prior to their suggested delivery time. I find them excellent.

All I did was post my experience. I'm sure anybody reading this thread may now think before ordering a Charge Spoon at a good price (or any other product with a 2 -7 day delivery). That was the intention of this posting

Of course if I don't get a refund, which I trust I will, within 5 working days, it would be another matter.

Out of interest look at this

It seems service is mixed bag.

My experience, to my mind, was not good. Most compalints are from like minded people who experienced similar problem.

It reads a lot like a complaint to me. Or at the very least a criticism. Just seems like a slight overreaction to me. If they'd not let you know that the saddle would be longer than advertised and then not refunded your money, then you'd have a more compelling point, I think. At the moment there's a lot of storm in that there teacup :)

Criticism yes. And why not?

No. When I complain. I complain. 7 day notice then small claims court in this case

I believe bank would not be interested. As you say, I need to wait 7 days max. I will report back then.

Well, it's your prerogative, of course, and it's a free country and all that, but, well, I'm still not totally sure what it is that you're criticising and it seems slightly premature. As far as I can see, you ordered something in the belief that it would be with you quickly, they advised you that it would be considerably longer, you cancelled the order, they're in the process of refunding your money. Assuming that they actually manage to do that, I'm not sure where you've lost out. Not that many shops are sophisticated enough to have live stock updates on their websites (although it's clearly no coincidence that the most successful ones do).

Anyway, I've wasted enough time on this :)

If I want anything from them I just cross the road.

Maybe I could ask them to stock check items for you on my way hehe.

Bought my Avalanche from them when they still operated out of the shop in Pemberton.

iv'e had nothing but crap from winstanleys and refuse to use then ever again firstly i brought a charge spoon and it took 2 weeks to arrive ok i though i can live with that no drama's there, but two months later the rail on the saddle bent badly fully crumpled and it was the cro-mo so i phoned winstanley and they asked for pics and gave me an email address to send them too. so i sent pics within half hour of the call and 7 days later no reply so i phone them up again and they say "sorry wev'e been busy" so i think ok no drama's il get a new saddle soon 3 weeks later no saddle so i phone them again they say they need to send it back to charge for there assesment so i ask can you just send me a saddle to replace it them they say "no not until charge issue a new saddle" so im getting ratty now but think it wont take long know been month now after phoning every week for a further 6 weeks and really getting anoid and threatning legal action they sent me a replacment.

my advice avoid the too bit wanna be's and go to crc or wiggle much better customer service

I only trust the bigger websites... im all for equal trade and all that, but I dont have enough time to check up on and run around after semi amateur operations

MikeD i think the op is getting at a month for delivery! 29th oct!
and the general poor quality of which his custom was handled

Money back in account now.

Not the kind of company that I would use. I should have researched prior to ordering though. I'm not alone on what I believe to be a shoddy company.
Of course others have indicated that their expeirience has been fine when using Winstanley
