Have P2's changed?

Was just wondering if i'll notice any difference putting brand new P2's on my '94 lava dome. Unfortunately the old ones got nicked & I may as well buy a new pair for £40 (evans) since most ppl want around £30 for their old & chipped (but surely loved) ones.

So how much has the angle/rake/length altered in the last 14 years? I'm supposing they'll be a bit longer then eh?

Plus you can get new ones with both canti bosses & disc mounts so you can chop & change!

Unless, of course, anybody has a pair of threadless P2's, steerer no shorter than 210mm, they'd like to offload at a reasonable price...

Provided you get the standard length ones, they will be exactly the same as they were in 1994. The ones with disc tabs are available only in plain-gauge though. I believe the ones for £40 at Evans are also plain-gauge, but you shouldn't have to pay as much as £30 on eBay for period ones unless they're triple-butted. Triple butted weigh c1.85 vs 2.35 for plain gauge. And boy do you feel the difference, although admittedly heavy and stiff does suit some riding styles better than it suits mine.
