Have I been had? FSA Carbon post + Ultegra brakes

Mate of mine sold me an FSA K-Force SB0 seatpost plus Ultegra brake calipers f&r for £100.

The seatpost is used, without packaging, but unmarked and barely used.

The brakes are last-gen Ultegra I think (6700?).

I had a quick look for 'posts on Ebay and there are carbon FSA ones going for £12-£30, while a pair of brake calipers seems to be around £50 ish.

What's so special about this seatpost? It seems to retail new for £130 or so! (It is quite light though).

And... have I been had?

You could probably have held out for a lower price........ but 100 quid is not *that* bad.
I reckon £75-80 would have been nearer the mark. Not worth falling out over. Just do more research next time

Check those carbon FSA posts on eBay, there are quite a few copies of FSA posts from the Far East about.
If they were being sold used then they may be genuine.
You probably paid towards the top end of what they're worth just now, if you're happy with the items then thats fine, next time do some research before you commit to buy, sometimes "mates rates" aren't the cheapest, and to be honest he may not have had much more idea about what they were worth than you did.

I recently bought an FSA os99 stem thinking it was real, but unfortunately it turned out to be a copy. The designs do differ slightly from the genuine ones, so compare yours to pictures on a reputable site (CRC etc). If it's fake then I'd raise a dispute with the seller. Bare in mind that they may not have realised either.
