I'm more than competent with my hands.

I've just spent the last 5 hours rerunning my gas supply, no bother. well it is my day job.

However I do expect to get what I pay for , which seems to be the point you are missing.

It's not that, it just seems there's at least some mitigation in communication (notes on the order) and it does seem a bit of an overreaction to something that's so trivial to do.

They may have let you down in other ways, but this example just seems to me a mountain out of a mole-hill.
