Have Chain Reaction given up?

I don't get this statement that people say, 'chain reaction are the cheapest' !!!!!!

It is VERY rare that i can't find the same product cheaper elsewhere!

Two items i've purchased in the last few weeks for example were cheaper at MERLINCYCLES. Scwalbe Nobby nics about £7(A PAIR) cheaper and a Easton Haven stem £5 cheaper.

Certainly shope around, wholly agree. I think its with CRC's sale and probably having the right item on sale at the right time for many people that the theory they are the cheapest has spread.

For what was on my list, they absolutely are were the cheapest, I even spoke to a member here and he couldn't come close.

The seatpost and stans stuff were not from cr. the seatpost was only. £50 from jejamescycles.com. £14 cheaper than cr iirc.


You can get stuff cheaper thAn cr but they have a lot of good deals.

did you also know that the usa has been kicking up a little stink about them trashing the us lbs market

AFAICT it's pretty much just one US mail order outlet that's been moaning

There have also been similar complaints directed at CRC by Spanish bike shops re. discounted prices and "grey imports".

It's really not on the slide.

Once, out of many times, the OP had an issue that appears to be due to an IT failiure and all of a sudden, CRC are going to the dogs.

There's touch of tabloid sensationalism going on here.

finally dispatched last night at 18:17 to parcelfarce. so much for having my stuff by the weekend. the bike is supposed to be built for next weekend and ive go a whole lot of learning to do, plus ive got to run a new gas supply in my house at some point as well :roll:

I ordered a disc brake adaptor at about 2pm yesterday, recieved an e-mail stating it had been dispatched at about 5pm.
Oh good i thought it will be here on monday
9.30am this morning it was in my hand :shock:
