The top two sprockets unscrew.

If you've only got one chain whip you can make another quite easily. Just get a length of chain and a pair of mole grips. Wrap the chain tightly around the sprocket and then clamp with the mole grips. It shouldn't be too hard to work out what to do then.

Sorry to hijack your thread HB, but I'm on the look out for a 7 speed Suntour XC Pro MicroDrive cassette if anyone has a spare - or if you manage to get yours off and it's in decent nick...!

I have a spare..or part spare in a bag of bits that I left at a friends when I collected the bike....not exactly sure what is in it...I'll let you know

Thanks fella...tried two BIG fellas on two whips and it ain't moving. To be honest...I'm not bothered anymore...its for sale in the Sale thread
