I will have a go tomorrow. Strange thing is, only one piece of the elastomer stack has mullered itself. A red one on one side and a green one on the other.
The cartridges in RS Judys are serviceable if they're the earlier plastic type. If they're the alu type then it's no go I'm afraid.
From your description of the fork it sounds like you have a '96/'97 Judy. Does it have the bolted on brace? We've got some pre 2000 RS spares in the shop where I work (Mag 21 long travel upgrade kit anyone?). If you let me know what you want I'll see what there is. I might be able to scan the parts list and service instructions if you want. Let me know.
I sat down today with the printed instructions, a nice new bottle of oil and a lint free cloth. All went well up to the second step. From there on in the instructions seemed as if they were for different forks. Despite prolonged study, I still haven't worked out how to get the oil back in and how, if you manage to achieve this, it damn well stays in there!
