When I started work at 15, I decided I wanted to buy a new bike, after having several bitza before.Lovely frame…as far as I recall Road path frames were a bit of everything frame back in the day…and usually had mudguard eyes for winter cycling especially for racers…maybe this is a track frame with a drilled out front fork for riding fixed on the road?
I wanted a Road/Track/Path frame so I wrote off to Mr Carpenter asking him to build me one.
The fashion then was for large frames, so I ordered a 23", probably two or so inches too big for me, but I rode it everywhere. I specified no mudguard eyes, and drilled for a front brake only, much like the one I am trying to sell now.
I think the Harry Hall, after some consideration, was built in the mid 80's, and the lucky customer wanted a twin plate fork crown, with front brake only, most frames were custom built at that tome, and that's what he wanted
