Halfords and service plans

Popped in to local halfords this evening for some muc-off bike spray. Had a look round and noticed they have a display cabinet of shimano bits and bobs. Very over priced, I would say double CRC for even low end kit. For example, SPD cleats £19.99

I've noticed that, but you also get some ridiculous bargains occasionally too, someone on here got some Hope lights and a Flite saddle for effectively pence iirc, it's one of the few reasons for going there!!

bargains can maybe had from the bins at the back of a halfords.....I have heard many tales of them throwing stuff out that is far better than the crud they replace it with :shock:

That was a year ago and they've not had decent stuff in the bargain bin since. I live in hope though.

One of the mechanics in the branch near the office knows his stuff but I wouldn't be prepared to play Russian roulette with my bikes and risk letting one of the others loose on them.
