If after this, they still allow people to have high power rifles in there own homes and shotguns (sure farmers/gamekeepers need shotguns but do Taxi drivers  ) then there is little hope of preventing this happening yet again.
Ban everything bar small bore target guns and shotguns but restrict these to draconian levels. If a person 'wants' a gun this earns them an automatic suspiscion from the law and the real chance of a life ban.
Sure people kill people not guns but horrific incidents of this nature are not possible without guns.
My thoughts lie with those affected by this horror !!!!!!!!!
We already have the strictest gun laws in the world. The weapons used from what I heard were both legally owned, a shotgun and a .22 rifle. .22 Rifle is a small bore firearm. High powered rifles are hugely restricted in terms of who can use them. Most other fire arms are out right ilegal.
To be honest this is a horrible thing that wasnt helped by the availability of fire arms to the nut job that did it. But I dont feel the already super tight laws we have need to be made tighter. I dont own a gun, I dont hunt, but I do see it target shooting/clay shooting as legitimate and interesting sports. I would hate to see them outlawed by rushed reactionary laws. Just because I dont see any need to tighten the law doesnt mean I want to see current law relaxed however.
Thoughts to the people involved & touched by this moment of madness.
