Close but no cigar

I am confused. I am 99.99% sure I am right and that is a picture of your actual fork....now I am on the edge of my seat, what is it then?

The listing called it a Manitou Millenium but don't think that is right...It's a Manitou Millenium Super Nova...

Edit:

Oh, 2000 if X vert Millenium and 2001 if X vert Super Nova...

BTW the steerer and dampers always broke on these, be careful.

That's the way I thought they did it too. Someone already plumped for the supernova so had to be the other. . . . Right?

Ok guys,

IT IS A MANITOU X VERT CARBON PROTOTYPE :D

right make wrong model, full pics later today or tommorrow 8)

Hahaha. I'd be very surprised if it was a prototype. It would be a prototype of a Millenium if it was. Who told you it was a prototype and what is the differences to a Supernova or Millenium (no real difference between them except name and decals)?

Manitou = make

X vert = series of forks

Supernova or Millenium = model

2001 or 2000 = year (respectively)

Not even remotely like a supernova,it is an exvert carbon and has no grease injection which all the production ones did,I have all the catalogues from 1997 to 2002 and it is in none of them,it is triple clamp and has 6.5inches of travel.and dates to,from what I can make out,1997/1998.

There is a similar fork in the 97 catalogue that says for production late 1997/1998 but it has alloy legs in the catalogue :?

BTW the Millenium/Supernova is the SC version of your fork and is extremely similar. Sorry I was confused after only seeing the drop-outs of your forks  (which are very similar between the two forks  ) . I never figured you for a dual crown DH guy either from the other stuff you've posted.

Similar to the one on the left but with a silly little disc mount and canti mounts also, but do your orange ones have microlube :?

And to the downhill type thing, not really me but I always wanted a pair of bitd and now I have some :D

I reeeeeally like these forks (and my X-Vert's too . . . ). . . .

Apparently I'm a Manitou per. . . I mean convert :?
