It sure is retro, not special, but a nice bike in great shape.
Parts are pretty low end spec, I think the price is a little high but ok.

Seems in pretty good condition, all things considered.

Not sure of the year, but I remember fellow pupils at my school getting GT Timberlines in the early 90s. IIRC, they had Suntour Rapid-fire equivalent gears (forget the branding), so the move to Alivio means probably 93+.

TBH, the Timberline was pretty much bottom of the rung for GT. It might be in good nick, but it's not a classic. Like saving a Peugeot 205 Jnr or something. The 205 GTi might have been great, but this is just living by association!

Its a 94 i had one it was available in green or grey mine was grey i loved it!
The palomar, outpost and outpost trail were below so wasnt almost bottom of the range.
Equivalent to a kona firemountain etc.
