GT timberline frame worth the bother of building up?

If it is a good frame and you want a bike, yes, why not, far better a useful thing than an awkward lump of metal hanging around.
It's one of those where if you've got a load of kit lying around you've took off other bikes, and you just want a bog-standard pub bike that won't attract too much attention, or you won't be too gutted if it gets nicked.
But not one you'd want to spend more than £50 for bits on top.

The frame is teh heart of any build.
If your heart is set on a zaskar why not just wait and get teh frame you know you want. OK so a zaskar frame is going to be £65-£125 depending on condition,year,etc.
You could end up building a timberline with quality parts then later on having to transfer then onto a zaskar.Then dispose of the timberline frame
I'd only build the timberline with cheap/free parts as use it as a pub bike/leaving at the station bike.
